The Milk of Human Kindness Sours . . .

Stand up tall and stretch towards the heavens. Yup, stretch up, on tippy toes. Breathe in, the sour milk smell of humanity.

All of us culprits. Each of us, oblivious to the stink that we're spreading, like we are to the stench of our own fart.

Go on, cheat away.
Pay bribes.
Use up more and more electricity.
Burn more fuel.
Use paper.
Civilize the wild.
Increase the herd of cars.
Cheat on your husbands.
Cheat on your wives.
Overeat.
Smoke.
Drink.
Spread an incurable disease.
Get that new mobile.

Take longer showers.
Waste the water.
Waste the food.
Waste the blessings.
Waste everything.

Go on.
No one’s watching.
Smelling neither.

disgust...
stinking disgust
understandable...yet
a question i will ask-

what comes of being outside humanity the smelly humanity..?

what is the limit to?---
bribing,
using resources irrationally (for that matter, whats rational whats not),
taming the wild,
being stronger,
moving faster,
going higher....
cheating in any form...

whats the limit.. for that matter whats the beginning? and where does it end? who decides?

limits are set when you do not live for the world, and neither do you live only for yourself.
Limits are set when you live for a definite set of people you love/like/care for.

and those limits even if they stink to others, are fragrant to that set of people...are they not?

all the questions that u ask Life, u have answers to within yourself. the people in the world have forgotten the words: moderation and restraint.
and certain things are not so relative at all... because in certain cases one mans stink is everyone's poison....
facts shall remain facts. the world can end due to our stupidities. global warming is not merely a theory anymore. the melting of the polar ice caps isn't a sci-fi story anymore...
and yes the smallest things also do effect our world....
make that change. see the difference....

Parish...I am so relieved to hear that there is another person who thinks on the same lines as I do... what I'd written was reflective of the general attitude of people around- "I care a damn!!"

Now I know that you too are added to my list of people who would surely wait to see a dustbin / find one, before they decide to dispose of the garbage just anywhere. :) Its heartening actually

on another tangent and likening it to our feelings...i believe that the garbage inside us should also not be littered around everywhere. A proper "disposal or offloading area" is apt for this garbage within. Possible that the garbage could be recycled and made usable again when it changes basic form... and come to think of it, as I put this down, I think atleast I need to start off doing that myself!! waaaaah!! ENLIGHTENMENT!
